YowaYowa Camera

Natsumi Hayashi is a photographer who lives in Tokyo. She “photographs mainly levitating self-portraits (and cats not levitating)” as described by the artist herself.
Here are some examples of her work that I love. You can see more on her website www.yowayowacamera.com where she also explains in great detail how she creates her photographic works.

Photorealistic Drawing by Diego Fazio

This is impeccable. I had to stare over and over to believe it was truly done in pencil.

‘True Romance’ by Urban Outfitters

I love the feel of this campaign. Inspired by one of my favourite films ‘True Romance’, written by Quentin Tarantino with the gorgeous and quirky Patricia Arquette. If you’re heading to any music festivals this summer, this collection has some very cool options….makes me wish Winter wasn’t coming to Australia :( I may have to settle for watching the movie over and over again.

Check out the looks here.

‘Hopes & Dreams’ by Dina Lynnyk

I love these wacky but intriguing works by Kiev, Ukraine based Designer Dina Lynnyk. What she says about these specific pieces: “This is just my dreams and hopes about places that I would like to work at!” Hopefully her dreams come true!
See more of her work here on Behance.

Bruno Bowl!

Like I needed any more reasons to LOVE Bruno Mars! I think he’s amazing. Here he is performing at the Super Bowl with his band The Hooligans wearing Saint Laurant and totally rocking the house down!

imagePerforming with the Red Hot Chilli Peppers…also amazing!

Chinese Contemporary Artist: Han Yajuan

I am in love with this Chinese Artists work. Everything she does is so quirky and cartoony, and the fact that she incorporates high end fashion logos and themes in some of her work is so cool.

This painting “A Faint Fragrance” oil on canvas, was auctioned for $73,000 at Sotheby’s in 2007.

Her sculptures are also so adorably kitsch and unique. I could easily find a place for them at home.

Lots of Lips!

I love pictures of lips! These are all from my Instagram board @SOOOLASTYEAR. The pictures of Cara and the one with the lollipops are edits I created using different photo apps. Balmain created the “I’m too pretty” text message.

Digital Collages

I Love making digital collages..maybe it’s because I have so many pictures that I love. The Heart is the most recent one. The others I created earlier this year just for fun. They are always comprised of my favourites (at the time of creation).

If You Believe in Love ❥

❥ ❥ ❥ ❥ ❥ ❥ ❥
…And our minds were meant to sail
take a rest from our thoughts
take a break from this world
and we’ll feel miles away
from the places that we used to be

as we lay in the sand
and we stare at the sky
watch the moon dancing why
as the stars latch our eyes
oh my, there’s no place on earth
i’d rather be
in my eye this night just don’t
feel real
but i can feel your touch
promise you won’t let go
❥ ❥ ❥ ❥ ❥ ❥ ❥

My Nineties Girl Icons

These are just some of my favourite Nineties Female Icons. At one stage or another I wanted to be just like them {or just be them sometimes}. Seeing Madonna in Desperately Seeking Susan was a very big moment in my life. And Kate still remains my favourite fashion icon.

The Boys of Summer

Lyrics to The Boys of Summer, Don Henley, 1984.
And some still images taken from the Music Video.

Nobody on the road,
Nobody on the beach.
I feel it in the air,
The summer’s out of reach.

Empty lake, empty streets,
The sun goes down alone.
I’m driving by your house
Though I know you’re not home.

But I can see you,
Your brown skin shining in the sun.
You got your hair combed back
And your sunglasses on, baby.
And I can tell you my love for you will still be strong
After the boys of summer have gone.

I never will forget those nights.
I wonder if it was a dream.
Remember how you made me crazy,
Remember how I made you scream.

Now I don’t understand what
Happened to our love.
But, baby, when I get you back,
I’m gonna show you what I’m made of.
