…And why would you if you looked this crazy cool!

I live in the middle of the city with a small balcony of my own so I’m always looking at colourful quirky ways that other people decorate theirs. Even the most simple additions can add lift to a small grey space. Here are some examples and ideas that I love. Please note: in Australia this is how we spell colour ;)
ANKLE BOOTIES with skinny jeans, mini skirts, leather leggings. Keep the length right…show the Bootie!
CHUNKY/PLATFORM ANKLE BOOTS as above, but keep your outfit SIMPLE. The boot is the key feature.
POINTY HEELS with cropped skinnies, mid calf length skirts, pencil leg jeans, skinny leg jeans, mini skirts. This style is classic, almost anything will work, so invest in a good pair. The ultimate for me would be a pair of Christian Louboutin’s “Pigalle” in patent black as worn by Kate Moss below.
CASUAL BOOTS with DENIM DENIM and more DENIM…shorts, jeans, overalls, skirts. Be daring and mix with metallics, but be careful not to look stupid…I would suggest asking for a 2nd opinion if you’re going to try out this look.
SNEAKERS/SLIP-ONS/LACEUPS with anything sporty-luxe. You can go 90’s street or casual chic with this type of footwear.
“INSPIRED BY THE PACIFIC OCEAN, WITH ITS WATERS LAPPING AGAINST THE CALIFORNIA COAST AND THE DEEP RED SUNSETS THAT APPEAR TO PLUNGE INTO THE HORIZON.
THE UNIQUE, HAND-DRAWN “WAVE” PRINT BEAUTIFULLY EMULATES THE EBB AND FLOW OF WAVES, AND ALSO BRINGS TO MIND CONSTANT RENEWAL, A CONCEPT NEAR AND DEAR TO KENZO”

I wish I could remember the original magazine source of this raunchy editorial. I saved it ages ago onto my tumblr. I love the seventies Summertime vibe. And the way it’s been photographed and edited.
I love the feel of this campaign. Inspired by one of my favourite films ‘True Romance’, written by Quentin Tarantino with the gorgeous and quirky Patricia Arquette. If you’re heading to any music festivals this summer, this collection has some very cool options….makes me wish Winter wasn’t coming to Australia :( I may have to settle for watching the movie over and over again.
Check out the looks here.
I love these wacky but intriguing works by Kiev, Ukraine based Designer Dina Lynnyk. What she says about these specific pieces: “This is just my dreams and hopes about places that I would like to work at!” Hopefully her dreams come true!

Of course I’m going to share this collection…it’s ALWAYS one of my favourites. Here are some of the looks I love. Some I didn’t love so much such as very very oversized pants and shoulders on some jackets. They were just too big. These pieces however seem very wearable and interchangeable. The boots are very cool. The plaid and leather combinations look effortless together as do the sexy mini skirts and over sized knits, and I’m loving the military and metallic references. The whole collection screams “I’m just sooo casual, sexy cool.”
I love fur/faux fur jackets and vests. They can make even the most dull outfit look glamorous and chic. They’re so soft and cuddly. And they’re all over the runways for next Fall.
