Founder/blogger/photographer Scott Schuman began The Sartorialist with the idea of creating a two-way dialogue about the world of fashion and its relationship to daily life. In addition to the blog, Schuman’s work has been featured in GQ, Vogue Italia, Vogue Paris, and Interview; for GQ, Schuman shot and edited his own page for over three years. In 2009 Penguin published an anthology of his images that has sold well over 100,000 copies to date and been translated into languages from English to Korean. Its limited-run Bespoke Edition sold out in less than three months. His work resides in the permanent collections of the Victoria & Albert Museum and the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography.
Another one of my most favourite Websites and bloggers is Scott Schuman’s The Sartorialist. He is the original Street Style Blogger. If you are interested in fashion his website is a MUST SEE. Here are a few recent shots of his. Go explore some more! But come back!
Feels like SUMMER is almost here MELBOURNE. I just love summer.
KATE MOSS. FOREVER AND ALWAYS HAS AND WILL BE MY FAVOURITE. Here are some images from the 90’s and now. Sooo Grunge. Sooo Gorgeous. All are from my own library mostly saved over the years from Kate’s forum on tfs.com. You will most likely see heaps of Kate Moss from me. Because she is absolutely gorgeous.
Oz Vogue Editor Christine Centenera. I love this girls style. She’s the one behind Kim Kardashian’s “make over” when she first started dating Kanye…and behind Kanye’s Fashion label. All images from Christine’s Blog.

“STRONG AT THE BROKEN PLACES”
Yes there will always be those classic staple pieces that every woman needs in her wardrobe. But even those classic pieces need an up-to-date twist. Here are a few modern spins on the The Black Jacket, The Mini and The Classic Pant and the new Skinny Black Pant. Every girl needs a few jackets in Melbourne. I personally hate wearing jackets, they make me feel confined, but for some reason I’m obsessed with finding the perfect one…I tend to gravitate to Fur and Leather. These pieces can be found at revolveclothing or just do a search on the Designers names and have your own shop around!
THE BLACK JACKET: DOLCE VITA LUXOR RABBIT FUR JACKET
THE MINI: MILLY COCKTAIL FEATHER SKIRT
THE CLASSIC PANT: BY MALENE BIRGER SEXY STRETCH COSY PANT
THE SKINNY LEG PANT: LES CHIFFONIERS CLASSIC LEATHER LEGGINGS
I do realise that LEATHER appears ALOT when I speak of fashion and items that I love or want. Just one thing to note on this: DO NOT WEAR LEATHER ON LEATHER…same concept as denim on denim…maybe worse.
I fall in and out of love with Nicole’s style. One day I’ll do a massive post of some of my favourite looks of hers that I’ve saved over the years. Right now however, I do like her style very much. I haven’t worn a crop top since 1985 and I haven’t seen my stomach or legs since late May (it’s been winter in Australia), so I don’t know if I’ll be able to pull off some of these looks. Will I try? Playing dress-ups at home (on my own as I do), yep for sure!
….these will probably change by tomorrow
My obsession with this design duo dates back 4 years when they starred in their own show called 9 by Design on cable TV. Their vision is so playful, colourful and stylish all at the same time. The way they work together was endearing to watch. And amongst all their success they have 7 kids! Very cool family. Here are some pictures of their work that I’ve collected over time. My favourite of all was their re-design of the Bungalow Hotel in New Jersey, you can check that out HERE.
