I saved these amazing pictures of StreetArt about a year ago but cannot remember the artist.
If you know his/her name or even recognise the locations, please comment. Otherwise enjoy these colourful urban love stories.
Another thing that I’m fascinated with, Harajuku. Mostly, um Everything! Here are some images taken at the district. Harrow Innovation! If you like what you see, Tokyo Fashion on FaceBook is a great place to start…they share and take really cool photos. PS: This IS NOT a Halloween Post, it’s what an ordinary day in Harajuku looks like.
From Wikipedia: Harajuku (原宿 “meadow lodging”) is a district in Shibuya ward, Tokyo Prefecture.
The general name of the area from Harajuku station to the Omotesando area. According to the current Japanese addressing system, the neighbourhood ‘Jingu-mae’ is included in this greater area. In the 1990s there was an influx of famous overseas fashion brand flagship store openings. At the same time, new fashion trend shops spread in the residential areas of Jingu-mae blocks 3 and 4, and the area came to be known as Ura-Harajuku (‘Harajuku Back Streets’). In 2006, Omotesando Hills was opened. In 2008 the Tokyo Metro Fukutoshin Line was installed and is expected to further expand in the future.
I am a little bit obsessed with Neon at the moment. I want my name as a Pink Neon sign for my apartment (no joke, I am looking into it!). Here are a few cool pics of Neon with Personality and Attitude.
StreetStyle @ FashionWeek EUROPE, New York
A collection of my favourite Streetstyle images from New York, London, Paris & Milan Fashion Week. All curated from Instagram, Websites and Blogs I love. I really am in love with the current trends…I feel like it’s 1992 again. You won’t believe this ~ lately, I don’t care if my hair goes a bit curly! This has been a HUGE absolutely NEVER for me! (I was born with crazy curly hair)…but for some reason it’s growing on me again..I’m liking the wilder, less groomed look especially with headbands and hair pieces. It feels carefree and youthful…try changing your hair style up a bit, I was petrified to do this, but it’s actually refreshing once you give it a couple of days to get used to.
On The Street – I loved so many of the street style looks at NY Fashion Week. I noticed heaps of Statement T-shirts, Statement Dresses, Statement Shoes, Statement Art. Anything and Everything Pop and Pop Art, 90’s and Grunge is Sooo NOT Last Year at the moment..and I Like! Trend or no Trend I have been a little bit obsessed with Pop Art ever since I can remember. I chose for my final year Art Project in high school to be all about Roy Lichtenstein and the Pop Art “movement”. I even created a clothes detergent line called “Soap Opera”. Cupid was on the box aiming his bow and arrow at big bubbles (I wish I’d kept that box..truly Retro Art). When I save or cut out images that I like, I have a file called “Pop Tops” for pictures like these…such a nerd I know. Anyhow, here are some of them. Some of these will be available soon on SLY’s online store too! Sooo, Stop. What?? POP TOPS ROCK! *** Want to Know How to Wear This Look? Make sure you Subscribe! Advice like this will be on SHOP SLY all the time!
So I accidentally pressed the Siri button on my iPad. She asked me “how can I help you”? I thought ok, maybe she can. I answered “I feel blue”. She suggested I try some colour. So here it goes. By the way, for me these are considered colourful. I think I might use Siri again someday. I had no idea she was this insightful.
